12. Welcome to the Deadmines, oh and Espoo as well!

Hi!

If I said I was sorry for the delay, I would be told to stop apologising too much. But yeah. I'm sincerely sorry for my absence, and sorry for apologising a bit too much.

Needless to say, the reason for why I am seeming to only post once a week, is school. As I mentioned in the previous entry, schoolwork is eating my free time, and all that little time I get left goes to cleaning my room, writing stories, and my *favourite* activity, picking apples. But then again, Elsa and Bimbo haven't done any fun or any harm from what I have been seeing, so it would e quite pointless to make an update without kitties with it, woudln't it?

But today was a special day. Or, no, not only special but a surprising day.

Me and my schoolmate Anna were the only students today in the whole school. The only ones. One would deem it impossible, but then again, it's a special school for special people, so not a real wonder (Anna told me she has been the only student in the whole school, many times).

We would have had two hours of math and then one of music after lunch, which would make our day long and boring. We were sitting in the kitchen, drinking coffee, when our lesson would have started. The teacher (who teaches us both subjects) came in to ask if we wanted to do maths at all. We answered no (of course).

"I have been thinking", the teacher said, "that maybe we should go to an excursion, all students, today." He knew that the only students in the school were me and Anna, so it would be only the two of us and the teacher.

"Where would we go?" Anna asked.

"To my place" the teacher said.

We couldn't believe our ears. Instead of doing maths and playing silly guitar on a tedious music lesson, we would be going to our teachers place. He explained that he had just got a new puppy, which we were going to see. He said that we would first buy some biscuits and lemonade, and eat them while watching the puppy play.

"Where do you live?" Anna asked.

"Espoo" he said. About half an hour from Helsinki, but which, at that point, seemed like an impossible distance. Anna mentioned this, and the teacher just said, "we have got three hours, and after that I could drive you both home". This was like a blessing to both me and Anna - we lived a painful distance from Helsinki, my travel here taking about 30-60 minutes, while Anna's could take up to two or three hours.

"Also" the teacher added, "we could calculate the average speed of the car while singing 'tralala'-songs, so we wouldn't really miss any subjects we are supposed to be present on."

So, long story short, we went to a local supermarket, bought biscuits and lemonade, and drove to Espoo to see two of the teacher's dogs, the puppy included. I took a few pictures just to put them on my blog, and hereby I introduce the two cute little (?) dogs, Mindi and Wilma.

Here's Mindi. She's a ten year old labrador female, in no way related to Wilma, although that doesn't mean they would not be best buddies. Because that's what they clearly were ☺ She panted the whole time, and the teacher told us she had atopic skin, which resulted in her eating cortisone meds, and which then resulted to her being exhausted all the time. That didn't make her a less lively and charming dog that she was!

This is Wilma. I have never really seen a puppy up close, at least one as chubby and small as she was. As many labradors, she had a huge appetite, and with her baby teeth gnawed on everything she came across - including my schoolbag. A simple picture cannot capture her cuteness, but at least it gives a little hint of what kind of a cutie patootie I met today! ☺

I made a video of the pictures and videos I took and recorded, adding also some recent activity from both Elsa and Bimbo. Hope you enjoy it ☺

Now I have been at home for the past few hours, writing stories I am, when eventually finished, going to post on my new Wattpad for original and fanfiction stories. I will be informing when I am ready to share the secret profile with you guys and gals!

One of the stories is a World of Warcraft fanfiction, which involves the Defias Brotherhood as seen in the old and new WoW. I needed some inspiration music to be played in the background, and so I came across this old song I had been loving and loving when I was 13, a huge WoW nerd back then also.

The adrenaline and chills down my spine have not eased, even when a few hours have passed.
And I couldn't be happier right now.

Alright, that's all for now. See you (probably) next week!

11. Memoirs of an Imperf-- I mean, Perfect Cat! (The story of Elsa)

Hi to you all!

I'm super sorry for not having posted in a week... again. Schoolwork is eating all of my time, I've played too much The Sims 3, I've been searching for my lost iPod Touch and a friend has been needing me elsewhere than in front of the laptop. So, I'm apologizing for the delay.

I found on my mother's Facebook a picture of little Elsa. Yeah, little Elsa. A baby picture, that is. I thought that since I have nothing else important to post, I could tell you about Elsa when she was just a baby.

We got her in July or August, back in 2010. My mother hadn't told us kids anything (except for my oldest little brother, who kept it well in secret), so it was a huge surprise for both me, who was shopping kitty stuff and clutter with no idea why we did that, and to my other brothers who were going to pick her up from a friend's.

Elsa got carried inside in a barred box, and our dog, who was thirteen back then, went to sniff her. She hissed at him, but he didn't seem to care at all. After all, a little baby cat hissing was not really the most intimidating sound in the world, solely proving that little Elsa was a tough and brave little kitty.

What surprised me the most when Elsa was coming to her new home was that she looked exactly what I always wanted a cat to look like - white base and black and brown/orange patches. I had dreamed of a cat that looked like that since 1st year of school, but had forgot it eventually. Seeing Elsa for the first time brought all that positive energy back.

The first time we let Elsa explore the guest room (which we never call a guest room, not anymore at least - it's known as the Elsa Studio from now on), she disappeared. When we went to check on her, we couldn't see a thing anywhere. The little big-eared cat with baby blue eyes was gone.

If I remember correctly, we heard a faint meow inside this great blue rocking chair. Mother and father were worried to death that if it was rocked, little Elsa would be squeezed in between it. They tilted the chair to across position and started looking. The first five minutes lead to nothing. We couldn't find a little kitten inside it. Mother feared the worst, that since the meows had stopped, Elsa would not be there anymore - living.

The rocking chair Elsa was hiding in

But fortunately, my dad caught a little kitty body in his hands and carried the kitten to the bed we had bought her. There she meowed for a while before falling asleep.

My father's parents came over for a visit, and we wanted to show Elsa to them. But guess what? Elsa had disappeared - again. We looked and looked, everywhere we searched for that little thing, with no results.

Now mother feared little Elsa had jumped to the window and outside, but that was not the case. Why? Because little Elsa was incapable of jumping that high, it was proven. I prove it to my mother when I found Elsa inside the sink cabinet, not on top of it. There was a little hole where a little kitten could fit, looking like this:

And this all happened on the first day. Fortunately, ever since these incidents, Elsa has been a nice cat, although a little bossy and not-so-little princess-like.

Because Elsa was taken away from her mother cat a bit too early, she couldn't eat solid food at all. We gave her milk that would substitute her mother's milk, and when a week or so older, we fed her kitty purée. What the strange thing was, was the fact that she didn't want to eat it from the food bowl, no: she wanted to be fed with a spoon, in her New Mommy's lap. Oh, little princess Elsa.

Elsa was much smaller than our rabbits when she came here, and she feared them to death. But that didn't last forever: she eventually played a new game with them which only she made up, without the cooperation from the bunnies. When the older rabbit, Bella, was sleeping, she jumped on her cage and poked her with her small paws. This made Bella jump in fright, and Elsa run away, just to come back again some minutes later. "No, it wasn't me!"

"Little" Bella - six years today!

Twice has it happened that when my mother would be bathing, Elsa has thought of joining in, and she would fall into the hot water and bath foam, and mother would call me to dry her with my towel. Stupid little kitty, I say. But extremely adorable.

Okay, skip the part where I said 'stupid'. Because Elsa is the smartest cat of them all. She learned as a little kitten to open doors and sauna windows. After I saw Elsa sit on our front yard, mother locked the window and from there on, Elsa has not been outside.

Fine, skip 'has not been outside' as well. Because when I lived in what now is my brother's room, if it was a hot summer day and I was away, Elsa would open the door, jump through the open window and overlook the backyard from there. The key tactic to make her come back was to shut the window loudly, and in some seconds you would get a sad cat face looking at you on the other side.

When Bimbo was added to our family, oh how utterly jealous Elsa was. She had been the princess of the family, the ultimate attention point (in her view of the world), and now, a young, stinking male appeared out of nowhere. No, really. If we had been petting Bimbo before sleep, and went to the Elsa Studio to pet Elsa, she would reject every interaction made, turning her head away and meowing "eww, you smell like a boy".

After a while though, Elsa accepted Bimbo as part of the family, with one condition: she would still be the princess of the family, and Bimbo would serve her as a little brother.

That's enough of information about our little princess' childhood. More stories would be told, but I couldn't possibly memorise them all now.

After getting the permission to upload my other family members' photos of our little girl, here are some baby pictures I found of Elsa.

Phew, what a post! Now I'm off to celebrate the weekend with a new Draenei Shaman, and Kobain, of course.

See you soon!

10. Introduction of the three princes!

Yo!

Notice something special? Yeah, it's Friday, but that's not it. Not it.

Well? It's the 10th post of the blog!
Yahoo!

Isn't it great!?

Well?

...Huh?

Alright, alright, maybe I'll have to face the truth then. Maybe I will be the only one celebrating this superemely unneccessary anniversary. Just maybe.

Not to mention that in my other blogs, I reached the tenth post fairly quickly. How? By writing every day. I have had some days of break between the entries ever since school began. That's why this blog hasn't progressed any further than this.

Anywho, I was at my friend Anna's place today. I had never been there before, just on their front porch, knocking on the door a long time ago in the light days of spring. They had cows, sheep and cats. Cats. Lots of cats. Two inside, many outside. Luckily I was prepared with an almost fully charged digital camera, and got lucky while photographing these feline beauties.

Let me introduce Gulis to you. Anna told me he had never let anyone pet or even get close to him before, but when I arrived, Gulis followed me like a puppy. Peculiar. "Gulis" is Swedish and translates into a name like "Yellowie", I would think. Why? Simply because he's yellow.

Here is Findus. His name is from the Finnish-Swedish book and TV-show called "Pettson och Findus" ("Viiru ja Pesonen" suomeksi). Although he doesn't have the striped markings on his body as the TV-Findus does, he was still a beauty to photograph.

Paavo was a cat with quite the personality. He has a massive ego that he will protect to the last. He is not mean or evil, he is just bossy and a bit of a diva, for a male cat that is. Also, he was almost impossible to photograph since he always was in a hurry somewhere.

There were many cats I can't remember names on, maybe they'll come to me next time I visit my friend.

Also, since it still is the 10th post anniversary of the blog, I have made a video (in about twenty minutes) about today's adventures in the farm Anna lives in. Beware, all contenct is taken with a digital camera and modified in Windows Movie Maker, thus the quality can make your sore eyes bleed.

Why did I choose Beethoven? Because it's called Symphonicats for a reason! ☻

Well, I'm off to play some WoW now. Tomorrow will be a good day, that's for sure!

Bye! ☺

9. The music in my veins + I'm back!

Hi again!

I'm super sorry for not making an entry in these past few days. I was supposed to bring you a special surprise, on top of that. Guess what it was? A dog special, where I would have photographed my cousin's dog, Idefix, and brought you pictures of my old doggie for you to see. First of all, Idefix was not home, and second, I couldn't find any good pics of my dead dog. Might look through them another time, so don't lose your hopes!

As I told you in the previous entry, I was with my cousin from Friday to Saturday. It was so fun! We went to the amusement park in Pasila, Helsinki, called Linnanmäki (Borgbacken på svenska), had fun despite the long queues. Then we went to a Finnish burger restaurant called Hesburger, where we ate our dinner.

After that, we went to see HJK - FC Barcelona as I mentioned earlier. It was a blast! Although a bit disappointing from the Finnish side (but not less amusing!), I saw Iniesta and Pique, two of my favourite FCB players. That made the day something to remember.

Here's a picture of both of us idiots. My cousin took it and added it on Instagram, therefore the filter. I'm the one on the left ☺

Wow... my first actual selfie I put here. Funny? Yeah, I guess. Presentable? Not so.

We went back to Linnanmäki (because why not?) and were there until closing time. Then we went to McDonald's to pick up some night snacks, and walked back to my cousin's place, where we watched Rock of Ages until neither of us could keep our eyes open.

Next day we went to my grandparents' place together, carrying Jeff (who? Oh, I'll tell you who! (;)and his supplies with my brother, who had naturally been playing League of Legends all day, all night, with my other cousin, but who now had to take a break to get back home.

My weekend was awesome, as you can tell☺

Kobain has been running from one continent to another and is now Artisan in all secondary skills, except for riding, which she is too low level for yet.

"Too sexy for this cloak!"

"My name is Kobain. Uh.. just Kobain."

(Pictures are from today)

On Monday I went to the hairdresser and got in fifteen minutes new, nice bangs which do not cover my right eye like a cyclop anymore.

['ello people]

(Picture is from today)

Today was the first day of school. I was nervous as hell yesterday evening, I freaked my guts hurt. But luckily, the start was good and now I have survived the first day of being a student of the 9th year of school.
Maybe it partly went so well because a) we only had one "real" and serious subject called physics, other classes went to getting to know our new teacher and arts (yay!), and b) I constantly thought about that cup of coffee I would ("accidentally") be having in my hands when passing Robert's Coffee after the day.

(Above you can see the first selfie of the school year)

AND! Here's Jeff that I mentioned in a couple of paragraphs earlier:

As you can see, Jeff is not a person, but a guitar. My first electric guitar I've ever had!
I got him (I like to refer to instruments as a she/he instead of an object) from my cousin, who said that I was free to preserve him until she needed it, in which case she was free to borrow it. I got his amp, his stand, all the required cables and even a handful of picks!

I name many of my instruments after musical inspirations. You can see all three named ones here:

  • Vika (the piano) is named after Viktoriya Yermolyeva, also known as Vkgoeswild on YouTube. She makes amazing covers of classic rock and metal songs, such as Bohemian Rhapsody and Master of Puppets.
  • Stephen Percy (the bass) is named after who else than Stephen Percy "Steve" Harris, the British Lion and bassist of Iron Maiden, one of my favourite bands of all time.
  • And last but certainly not least, I've now got Mr. Jeff King, whose name is from Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King, both guitarists of Slayer.

And to not forget the actual theme of the whole blog, here are some photos of Elsa and Bimbo, old and new.

King over the Mountain (of pillows)!

*lets out a majestetic although derp-faced meow*

That's all for now. Take care & have fun!

Bye!

8. A simple message

Hey everyone!

I'm writing this to make you all aware that today, I will be staying the night at my cousin's place, and therefore am unable to make a post for a day or so. We're going to see HJK - FC Barcelona play tonight at around 5 p.m. and hope to get out there alive... or at least, mostly alive.

I am also to announce that when I come back, there will be a little, special entry I will be posting... ;)

Alright, well, I'm off now to catch the bus!

Seeya!

7. Karelia - the place of civilization - and Civilization!

Hello again!

Wondering about my absence? I guess I forgot to mention that while yes, I am free of most stress factors that would keep me from updating my blog regularly (that is, with a major exception for school), I would be going with my grandparents to Karelia for probably one of the last times this year. Naturally, it's in a very rural area, the whole village of Klamila, and doesn't have internet connected to computers which date back to the early 90s. At least they had Sid Meier's Civilization!

Good news, though: on Tuesday, while cleaning my room, I found out that my rug had swallowed the SD-card for my digital camera, but fortunately that day, I was particularly searching for objects that had fallen as helpless victims for said rug (since I found my yellow plastic guitar pick there, I thought I would get lucky) - and found it, after so many months! That means better quality pictures (I hope) before I get hit by a lighting that makes me aware of how to use my mother's SLR camera.

Here are some pictures from Tuesday and Wednesday.

Have a great day everyone!

Bye!

6. Calicos and tuxedos!

Hey y'all!

When I originally made this post, I was gonna start with saying I'm not home for a long time to come because of personal matters. But guess what? I get to stay home as long as I want! Yahoo!

But because the new school year is beginning in just a week, I don't know how much I will be posting. But I swear to try my best!

And since I'm also working on some (some?) Warcraft fanfictions stories of mine, and I'm trying to get them past the first, difficult chapters, so we'll see what will happen to those.

Elsa and Bimbo are fine, and to prove that, here are some pics of them lovely kitties.

5. A visit from a friend + Tikkurila Festivaali!

Hi!

Yesterday my friend Anna came over to our place. We went to the local store to buy some sweets, went to one of my favourite places in the world (a place under a bridge near my old home) and talked, talked and oh my god, we talked for hours about what ever it was that crossed our minds. She is a very passionate speaker and has a lot to say, once you get to know her, that is. Anna talked about cats and the kittens her cat has recently given birth to. And like to some people I know that have cats, I asked if I could sometime come over to photograph these beings that are new to the world - and she said yes!

That was the second time she visited my place. Elsa was already familiar with her while Bimbo took the courage to come over and sniff her for the first time. And oh how he fell in love with her! He purred and purely begged to be petted, all the time. Anna has a special way of petting cats, or is it just that I am new to it? Nevertheless, her caresses went right the way to the kitties' hearts.

Oh, and also because the Tikkurila Festival was held that day, I have now officially seen one of my many idols, specifically one I had during autumn 2013 - mister Michael Monroe. I was a huge fan of hair metal when I begun 8th year of school - Guns N' Roses, Mötley Crüe, Hanoi Rocks, everything and around that was clearly my thing. Well, basically every band with glorious, glorious hair, like Iron Maiden, Megadeth and Metallica, was my thing. Still is, but not as strong as when I seriously wanted to inject Mötley Crüe's Theatre of Pain into my bloodstream - so much I loved that album.

Today, the festivals continued, and I went to see Reckless Love for a short while. I bought their tee and enjoyed the music while taking pictures.

Sadly, all my Michael Monroe and Elsa and Bimbo photos were, once transmitted to my computer, oddly enough deleted from the Files folder. *cries in the corner*
Do not fear, though, I will make it up for you guys!

See you soon!

134. One last change...

Hey everybody! Before you ask: I know. I am just as surprised as you are, that I returned to my ex - Google Blogger. While I would never ...
