52. Let the art heal your wounds... The gain and the loss

Hello!

I'm sorry to begin a whole blog post with bad news, but...

Betsy died yesterday. She got a stroke and could not sit properly, her whole body lying on her left side. We were going to take her to the vet, and when I lifted her, she couldn't be still and floundered on the bottom of her carriage cage. She must have been in great pain. These are undoubtedly sad news, but the most important thing is that she now can rest in peace without suffering. We are going to miss her, but we know she lived a happy rabbit's life, full of green grass, my friendly family, her sister/friend and food and a warm shelter. I hope she has a great time with Chili, her sister/friend, who died about a year ago, in heaven.

Betsy (to the left) with her sister/friend Chili, when they just had come to us.

Alright. Let's see what the weekend brought us!

The Imitation Game was fantastic! Heart-breaking and historical, I recommend it to anyone who like high-quality films and/or Benedict Cumberbatch. Afterwards I bought some Moomin soda (Muumilimu) on my way home, and it was so tasty I drank it almost immediately. Wonder why...

For Anna I got a Hurts CD, Exile, and I hope she will enjoy it when I get to school tomorrow (I had a dentist appointment today).

On Saturday through Sunday I was at my grandparents' where I ate ice cream and drank strong coffee, and on Sunday went to two art galleries with my grandpa and my youngest little brother. I found the art fascinating and beautiful, and bought a card for Anna and myself from Art Frida (where I also got a cute framed picture by Outi Heiskanen), and took a couple of information booklets from Gösta Serlachius & Paul Sinebrychoff Collections Face-to-Face art gallery. He, my brother, wasn't too fond of the opportunity to become a highly cultured person - "It's all just paintings, damn it!" if I may quote him. Oh, brother. ;)

Gift to Anna ☺

Today I was browsing through Tumblr and found this - Sharon den Adel (Within Temptation) made a cover of Coldplay's A Sky Full of Stars! I love the original song, and when I heard it, I was almost moved to tears and cold shivers were running down my spine! It was amazing, Sharon is so wonderful!!

To cats! Yesterday we moved the bed from the Cat Studio to my brother's room, as it's my brother's bed now. The cat became so confused, they started meowing late at night when there was nothing comfy they could sleep on! Luckily, my mother found a Spiderman blanket and put it on the floor, and immediately they became quiet. Emi and Bimbo shared one end of the blanket, while Elsa, well, Elsa took the whole other end for herself. Typical. ☺

Have some pictures!

Bimbo and his ultimate bae ☺

Aren't they just adorable?

And yes, I will work on the Bimbo special at some point, but right now I have other things to do. Yesterday though, I finished a new icon for Daphnya Kobain! Although it sadly looks even creepier than the previous... here is a comparison of the new icon, and a woman from my mother's favourite music video Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden.

Have a great day!

See you!

51. Calico queens don't need their nails painted!

Hi everyone!

Today is a good day! I've been drinking delicious espresso coffee, played cute couples on The Sims 3, logged in on my main character of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, painted my nails and have taken a long warm shower. Also, I'm going to see The Imitation Game tonight with my cousin, starring one of my favourite actors, Benedict Cumberbatch. So yes, today is a good day!

My licorice black Essie nail polish is great, and so is the Flormar polish I got from Anna!
Emi has been playing with my hands and I've tickled her (which I don't know is very funny or very stupid for her), Bimbo was accidentally almost locked in the coldest room of the house (he didn't mind it much until he saw Emi on the other side of the door) and Elsa has been sleeping in my room, the glorious little queen she is. Here, have some pictures of her!

I think that my (Daphnya Kobain) icon is not so pretty, but actually kind of creepy. So I'll make a new one, maybe tomorrow or the day after that since I haven't used GIMP (a painting software) in a while and need to get used to it again. Don't worry, that hideous icon will be history!

Now I need some coffee. See you later!

50. Somebody bring the cake!

Hey!

It's the 50th blog entry already?! Whoa! Time does go by fast! I couldn't believe the number that I wrote as the title. Thanks to all my readers and followers, you're the best! Off we go aiming for the 100th post next. ☺

I haven't been doing much anything else than hanging around the 'net and playing games. I've had little luck photographing cats as Elsa and Bimbo both are hiding somewhere, and only Emi allows me to take good pictures. So here you go, a bunch of a silly little Emilia that has found her favourite spot on my hobbit cloak!

Nighty night sweetie ☺

I also did a little editing on the blog's appearance. It was done quick and I will at some point probably make a better one, but tell me what you think in the comments! All critique appreciated ☺

As I browsed my other blog entries, I saw that yeah, I have had one or two Elsa specials and a whole Kitten Diary for Emi... but where is Bimbo? He deserves as much love as everyone else, that friendly little gentleman! I'm going to photograph Mr Tuxedo and probably make a video, but if I'm very busy, it might take a few posts to do that. I will not forget Bimbo and the glorious gift I'm going to bestow him!

And for the glory of the 50th blog entry, I'm going to do a shout-out for my favourite blogs on Blogger! I'm not currently following much blogs, but these two blogs of my dear friend Anna are something I'm always excited for an update for!

Rakkaudesta Eläimiin (in Finnish)

  • A heartwarming, feel-good blog about animals found at Anna's. Only by looking at the theme I feel really great, and I'm sure the lot of you will too. If you don't know Finnish, you can just enjoy her high quality pictures!
  • A blog about freedom, justice and the power of thoughts and love. Here, Anna writes about what's going on in the world and puts her own, thoughtful views into it. A very well-written blog with excellent topics. I love it!

This was only a quick update as I'm off to my singing lesson later today. This is the song I'm working on at the moment!

Off I go make some coffee and play The Sims 3 do something useful.

See you again!

49. Blank blankets for the queen!

Hiya!

Hopefully you've all had a great day! For me it's the first week off school, as it's the winter holidays, and I'm already calm and relaxed. I thought I needed a break from school, and I was right, as my soul is now at peace, would you say. ☺

Yesterday evening my father took me and my two youngest brothers to the library. The smell of old books and the tranquil atmosphere there never failed me. I went to the music department and found my two babes: Avantasia's The Scarecrow and Within Temptation's Black Symphony. I also got my hands on a bass guitar learning video and some tabs for bass players. My family is going to need earplugs, haha!

Today I was over at my grandparents', after being to the grocery store and a recycling center with Mum first. I didn't find anything nice from the recycling center (though my mother later mentioned there was this whole apartment of clothes and stuff for teens, and I really didn't have to search old lady clothes for something I like) but from the grocery store I walked to the car with the latest MetalHammer issue.

At my grandparents', the first thing that happened was that my grandfather gave me a handmade scarf and a hat. They were lovely! Here is a picture of them on me (don't mind the hair, I haven't had the time to wash them or anything...)

We also talked about summer and my grandparents' summer place in Klamila. I really long for summer already, and cannot wait to visit Klamila! I'll first have to deal with school stuff first, though, otherwise my mind would be stressed out too much and I wouldn't be able to enjoy the summer. But I don't think it's a real struggle, as I somewhat know what I'm going to do next autumn, where I'll be studying and so on. It's going to turn out fine, but wish me luck! ☺

The cats are doing fine. Yesterday I went to my room and wondered what on Earth was under the cover blanket of my bed... turns out Elsa has found a happy place in there! There she slept and purred, more content than ever.

What's that?

Good evening Your Majesty!

Today as I was photographing her, she made poses and looks like those of real photo model! She sat on the floor, neat and, well, queen-y. When I stopped taking pictures, she followed me everywhere I went and showed her gratitude for being a model by purring and pushing her head on my hands - something she'd never really do!

And don't we forget Bimbo! He's a real gentleman as always, always willing to protect the girls and look after them - especially little Emi. Here are pictures of them both!

Have a great day, everyone!

See you!

134. One last change...

Hey everybody! Before you ask: I know. I am just as surprised as you are, that I returned to my ex - Google Blogger. While I would never ...
