47. Goodbye, the City of Gaudi!

Hi!

Ah, how good it feels to be home!

It's been a long week but no less an exciting one. I've had much fun and enjoyed every bit of Barceona - or at least the most. ☺

I thought I'd begin with a short summary about all the days spent in Spain, having photos to add the colour to them!

On Saturday afternoon we went to the Helsinki-Vantaa airport with a cab. Our first flight was to Amsterdam, from where we'd continue on to Barcelona. During the flight to the Netherlands there was this delicious Gouda cheese sandwich served, which I ate with apple juice. When we landed to Amsterdam I felt like I had a special belonging there, this strange feeling of being "home". Perhaps I was a Dutchman in my previous life? It also felt good to leave all the worries at Helsinki-Vantaa airport gates, flying away from my problems for a while, as the fire still burned in my heart with new flames of freedom warming the heart. ☺
Barcelona's city lights looked like a bed of fireflies and stars. We reached our apartamento late in the evening, and what was left of the day went to drawing, chatting with Anna on WhatsApp (free WiFi, yay!) and playing Clash of Clans and Kingdoms & Lords.

The next day went to tourist bus sightseeing. We also went to Camp Nou, yess! One could easily know I was a tourist because of all the photos I took! For lunch we had KFC food (yuck) and tapas for dinner. The taxi driver that drove us to our apartment the day before told us this day was the coldest day this winter. He was right - the wind blew cold (not as cold as in Finland, though) and it rained in the evening.

On Monday it was rainy although warmer than the day before. We went to a market hall in the morning, and there was a Marilyn Monroe on one of the balconies near it... After that we went to a Catholic church, shopping for clothes, and past a museum for ham! In the evening we went to a sea life museum with fish, sharks, and penguins!!

On Tuesday we went with a subway to the older parts of the city. There was a small band in the subway that played Spanish music with accordions and clarinets. We went to buy chocolate from a chocolate museum, and I bought Anna a chocolate candle! We also went to a park called Parc de la Ciutadella, and to a zoo, so this day included a lot of walking.

Right on Wednesday morning we went to the beach! I found shells with a small hole at one end, and am going to make jewelry of them. We also went by an aerial railway (?) to Montjuic's mountain and castle. Great memories because of great views!

Thursday was a lazy day. We went to a shopping center, which was an old bullfight arena, and walked through the whole La Rambla street, from one end to the other.

Friday was also a lazy day, as we went to the shopping center again. In the evening we were supposed to go to a light show, but it was cancelled for unknown reasons. We ate dinner at a tavern, where I ate rabbit meat - shh, don't tell Bella and Betsy! ;)

Yesterday morning we ate chocolate croissants and coconut pastries for breakfast. At around 13:00 (1 p.m.) we went by taxi to the airport. I had delicious cafe con leche, and guess what I ate at the plane? Gouda cheese sandwiches with apple juice - again! It was around 00:00 (12 a.m.) when we got home.

I did a lot of shopping in the city, like you'd think most teenagers do. I bought clothes, which I've summed up into some outfits, as seen below! The jeans stay the same on the first three, and I changed to black stockings in the last two.

Here are some random photos that I took! ☺

And here is me throughout the days, hehe!

Thanks Mum!

I'll make a video of the time in Barcelona some day, but right now I'm super tired and just want to take a bath. And now as I'm home, I can get back into photographing cats! This day went to sleeping and updating the blog, and tomorrow I'll probably do something with Anna. Can't wait to use my camera for kitty purposes!!

See you!

134. One last change...

Hey everybody! Before you ask: I know. I am just as surprised as you are, that I returned to my ex - Google Blogger. While I would never ...
