99. Crazy little thing called chocolate - it's Easter! + Emi's Easter Meal 2.0!

Hello everyone!

Happy Easter to you all! Have a sunny, happy, and of course, chocolate-filled day! ☺

Easter is yet another time to be festive, eat delicious food and spend quality time with friends and family! But not everybody I know celebrate Easter, and I'm sure some of you, my readers, belong to them. I still do wish you a fun-filled day with lots of togetherness and joy!

These past few days have been filled with the doings of cats, but before we go over there, let's have a look at the few decorations we used to make the house somewhat more Easter-y!

The eggs we painted!

Okay, well, that was short!

Elsa and Bimbo have been wondering about the crazy stuff we humans have been doing: cleaning, decorating, cooking... So many things other than the "normal" doings we're up to! All they do is watch as small, silent guards, more curious than earnest... ☺

But when my father's been ill, Little Mummy's Boy Bimbo has come to the rescue! And although he doesn't know what would cure Dad, he sleeps around his feet and comforts him with his purring -so a-do-rub-leh! ♥

While the bigger animals (bigger? They're all quite small really!) have been just casually going on with their lives, it's little Emi who's taken her curiosity further! She's been smelling and feeling and even tasting the decorations we've made, raiding our Easter grass even more, and then she looks with big, wondering eyes why there's a Catarazzi photographing every single one of her silly actions! She's at times accompanied by Ella, who's been wanting her share of the delicacies (and she sure did!), but otherwise she is at this moment the most nosy little creature in the house! But that's alright, I mean, she totally is "nyfiken som en katt" (a Swedish saying, translates literally into "curious as a cat") after all! ☺

"Boo!"

Just about an hour ago, my mother's parents were here to eat an Easter lunch with us. We had eggs (which my brothers and I had painted yesterday!), Caesar salad, creamy au gratin potatoes, Brussels sprouts and lamb steak. Yes, lamb steak. Who is it, in this house, that loves leftover lamb steak for a meal? You don't have to guess twice. ☺
My brothers loved the video Emi's Easter Meal from last year (which you can watch here), and most of its views are by them, so they naturally wanted a sequel to that, now with Bimbo as well! But as you can see from the video, it's very heavily Emi-oriented, as she stole the spotlight (or in this case, the sunlight) once again! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did and find it just as amusing as the last one! ☺
I also have another surprise for you!

Most of you probably watch videos on YouTube and know the term "vlogging". Lately I have been longing to start my own YouTube channel, as some of the people I know are making videos of either themselves or something they like. I'd like to expand my options on who is going to find both Symphonicats and me, as Pella. So after weeks of nervous practice, filming pressure and editing problems, I'll introduce you to my first vlog!

It's the best first video I could possibly make, but am positive that the following videos are going to be of much improved quality! Tell me in the comments of either the video or this blog (why not both?) what you thought about it! Any feedback is welcome! ☺

Now I am relieved from the stress, just in time! We're going to my father's parents' place (the apartment filled with antiques, remember?) but first I'm going to play some World of Warcraft, after such a long, long time!

Wish you all a great day! ♥

98. Colours of a day with friends of all kinds!

Hi everyone!

How's your day been? How's it started, how's it ended? I have had a wonderful yesterday and am going to have a glorious day today as well! But especially yesterday was a nice day. And saying the day was a nice day is a major understatement - it was a-ma-zing! With no setbacks and all the good in the world at my hands, I had the time of my life throughout the whole day. Why?

I met my friends Siri and Nina in Helsinki that day, and we had the whole day to have fun!

I started my day at 6:00 by brushing my teeth and applying some clear-up straps (from Nivea), only to be commanded by my early bird mother to go back to sleep... turns out I can't sleep in my room because a certain Queen Elsa had decided to pee on my desk, and now the whole room smelled like urine. NOT fun. But I got to sleep on the sofa instead, and slept quite well, all the way to 9 o'clock!
When taking a shower after my "nap" I used:
- a face scrub by Neutrogena
- two cleansing gels, by Vichy and SebaMed
- a face mask by Dermalogica
- shampoo and conditioner for hair
- body conditioner by Lush
- shower gel by Lush
- soap by Lush

I let my hair air-dry while taking Ella for a walk in the crisp weather, after which I brushed it lightly, put some makeup on and painted my nails red. Thereupon I was ready to go!

We met in Töölö at around 15:00 (3:00 p.m.) and went to look for a cafe or a restaurant where we could have lunch (I had personal business at 1 o'clock and therefore hadn't had the chance to eat other than breakfast that day). We went towards Sörnainen with a tram and looked into two coffee shops, before deciding we needed hamburgers instead and went to Hesburger for lunch. I had a cheeseburger, fries, Coca Cola and the most terrible disappointment, an "apple pie" with ice cream. Some genius had come up with putting it in a cardboard box with holes in it, and the ice cream poured out of those holes while drowning the hard, yucky "apple pie" in the progress. Definitely not the best lunch I've had, but we had a fun time nevertheless (mostly laughing at my poor dessert).

After the lunch we went all the way to Kamppi and from there walked to Tiketti Galleria, where there was a free art exhibition for us to see: a burlesque exhibition called Dream Big!, with art by Saana Koskinen, who is better known to common folk as Molly Moonstone. I haven't been much of a fan to this kind of art, but the colourful paintings and drawings that greatly resembled the art those of drag queens, made me change my mind! I thought the art was pretty, if not in literal content (I don't really like big breasted pin-up-girls and that kind of stuff), but as an art form it was an enjoyable exhibition. There were even colouring books to buy, but I wanted to save my money for other stuff, which you can read about below!

So right next to Tiketti Galleria there was one of my favourite shops in all of Helsinki: Keltainen Jäänsärkijä, a record store of my liking! I wanted to save my money to look at the beauties there, and for my immense luck I found this: Within Temptation's Enter album, that included their rare EP The Dance!! I was happy beyond words to have found it and just as happy for the price: only 19 € for two rare CDs!! I am still super delighted to have found it, and will probably listen to it the whole Easter, while I work on the projects I promised to bring you, my readers! (I do have a lot of schoolwork to catch up with, so I don't know how big a projects I'll work on, but it's sure to be something!)

My darling album and some cheap coffee. ♥
Then we went to Kamppi for coffee and snacks (I had a vanilla doughnut, Siri had a cookie and Nina a bun) from where we took the bus to Jumbo. We went to many stores, such as Mango, Anttila and Kicks, and Yves Rocher, a cosmetic store that ended their business there. I had wanted to go there right after I heard they had a clearance sale, and now I found two skin care products that I tested today and yesterday - I'll write a review of them whenever I have the chance!

And of course, a group selfie was to be taken:

Now onto cats!

Emilus Lurjus was not much of a rascal yesterday, because she was sleeping the whole day - and in the cutest sleeping position ever! I had just painted my nails when I took these so I couldn't get much, but hopefully they are enough (despite pictures of cats are never quite enough!)!

But at one point she was not the shy, gentle cat her role model Bimbo is. We had planted rye grass the other day, maybe a week ago or so, and she was the first and only cat that blatantly raided and sundered the plantation! I have images to prove you that this little missy is not too much of a well-behaving kitty! (But we love her nevertheless.)

But Emi, has been quite a cutie the other days! She watches us humans with a kitty's curiosity on the pillars that lead upstairs and downstairs, thinking whatever cats her age are thinking, and that is something extremely cute - especially when you get to pet her as much as you want when she sits there!

YAAAAAWN!

And naturally, she's been both playing and sleeping with her BFF and adoptive father Bimbo:

I think that's about it! I will make another post in the following days, on my free time from schoolwork, because Easter is coming! I can't wait to write to you about what we did - and the wonderful surprises I have for you, which are also on their way!

Now I'll go do some work, with some tea - I'll see you all soon!

Bye!

134. One last change...

Hey everybody! Before you ask: I know. I am just as surprised as you are, that I returned to my ex - Google Blogger. While I would never ...
